First week in Australia. Ever. First week in Sydney. Ever. First week with Degrémont, famous for their expertise on major projects related to water in GDF SUEZ. Ever. The week of first times! |

Monday : Arrived yesterday, we have our first day at Degrémont. Temperature dropped of 20°C between Bangkok and Sydney, but everybody is very kind, and they even take us to the Koala Park where we were able to pet lots of stoned koalas.
Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday : We spent our time at the Prospect Filtration Plant which surprisingly supplies 85% of Sydney with drinking water (you have it all on the picture, not even a football field!). You’ll soon know more on one of the fastest filtration plant in the world !
Friday : We met employees of SITA, another subsidiary of SUEZ Environment in Australia. They are specialized in waste management, and n°2 in Australia ! Using everyday wastes, they produce fuel for power generation or even organic materials for agriculture. But you already know all this thanks to Laure & Marc!
Saturday : At last, time for a bit of tourism in Sydney. In order of appearance : snow leopard, platypus, snakes and wombats at the Taronga Zoo, and then the very famous Bondi beach! Many handsome Australian surfers, and a splendid beach indeed.
Sunday : Kicked-out of our hotel room, we keep working in the lobby until it’s time to leave to the airport. Here we come Melbourne! But first, let Julien take a picture of those splendid hotel bills and taxi receipts…
