Une semaine haute en couleurs |

A very full week, just as we like it: from a nickel mine to wind turbines in Lifou, and including swimming with sharks and rays in Bora Bora. |
|
Monday: we visit the Goro nickel extraction plant with Dr Toshi Yasuda.

Tuesday: we are on Lifou, one of the three islands in the Loyalty Islands Province of New Caledonia. EEC has installed a wind farm here that can provide up to 30% of the island’s energy requirements. The picture above shows a wind turbine lowered to the ground for maintenance.
Wednesday: Yann has us visit the beautiful island of Lifou where we discover some of the local culture.
Thursday: we set off for French Polynesia and arrive on Bora Bora – a breathtaking sight. And just so you know - this photo has not been re-worked – the colors are absolutely genuine
Friday: installation of two new electricity generating sets on Bora Bora because yes, it’s true - GDF SUEZ is also active here.
Saturday: after swimming with sharks and rays, we take the time to put some serious work into our articles. Yes indeed - the Golden Mission isn’t all relaxation.

Sunday: it is 11 pm in Papeete and we are chatting live in the company of Philippe Poupon and Géraldine Danon, the team from the "Fleur Australe" sailing expedition. Soon to be seen on GDF SUEZ’s web TV.
